Happy St. Patrick’s Day!  I am wearing my green today to celebrate my Irish heritage.  I have Irish blood on both sides of my family.  I would love to find a pot of gold today!

Did you know a leprechaun’s occupation is actually that of a shoemaker?  Americans made the leprechaun into a friendly, smiling little man who dances a jig.  In Ireland leprechauns are thought of as crafty and mischievous.  The shamrock is associated with St. Patrick’s Day because it appears in the spring.  Corn beef is also an American-Irish tradition as Irish bacon was too expensive so the Irish borrowed the corn beef from the New York Jews.

Just thought I would throw in a little Irish trivia today.  Enjoy your St. Paddy’s Day!
