March 30

March 30, 2009

Back at school, spring break is over, sigh!

Williamsburg was a lot of fun.  I really enjoyed touring Basset Hall, John D. Rockefeller Jr.’s vacation home.  It is amazing that back in the 30’s and 40’s, he gave 68 million to reconstruct Colonial Williamsburg.  Basset Hall still has all of the Rockefeller’s original furnishings from the late 1930’s and early 1940’s.  They used the home in April and October.  I also enjoyed seeing the Palace and Capitol buildings.  I ate the original Death by Chocolate cake at the Trellis restaurant.  It was so yummy.  Eric and I split the one pound piece but I managed to get the last bite.

The Value America reunion was great.  It was so much fun seeing everyone.  I think we should do it every five years!  I posted pictures on facebook.  I also got to see my best friend Sue and her family.  The kids are getting so big.  Eric and I celebrated at the Clifton Inn.  We both ate so much we got sick and couldn’t go to brunch the next morning.  What a great meal!
