Spent the day uploading pictures to Walgreens, grocery shopping, pulling weeds and pressure washing the bridge.  It is only 4:00 but I am tired!

Had a great time in New York…

Spotted Eric and Tammy eating the restaurant week menu at Butter.

We ate our way through the city…Butter, Pomme Frites, Arturo’s, L Arte Del Gelato, Serendipity, Virgil’s, Sarabeth’s, and Green Table.  We also walked through the Chelsea Market and went shopping at Macy’s.

We met Eric’s family in Long Island and had lunch on Long Island Sound and then toured Teddy Roosevelt’s house at Sagamore Hill.

All of that in three days!  Then it was back home to see the kids…Priscilla, Percy and Piper.  I really missed them.

Got back from Florida late last night after spending three days in Fort Lauderdale and three days in Captiva.  Saw my old friends from work my last night in Lauderdale.  We met at La Bamba and had some good laughs.  I was teasing and said we looked like the multicultural version of Charlie’s Angels…Cindy is a redhead, Alissa is Cuban and Cheryl is black.

We spent time with Eric’s fraternity brothers and their wives and one of our favorite couples from Fort Lauderdale in Captiva Island.  We sat out by the pool or in the pool for two days…yes, I got sunburned even with sunscreen.

We also visited with Eric’s mom the first three days of our trip.

Good to be back home even if only for a day.  I missed my kids!  Percy was waiting at the door for me.  He is such a great cat.  He slept by my feet and Priscilla slept by my head.  Piper only sleeps in bed with me in the early morning.

Happy Birthday to Jim Churilla.  If you are reading this Jim, have a wonderful day!

Had a great time in Boston on Eric’s birthday.  It was a cold and rainy day but we filled it with good eats and great history.

Got home late Thursday night.  Friday, we went out to dinner with my cousins and to the movies.  We went to Asparagus for dinner.  It was my first official Thai food experience.  Pretty good!  We saw Hangover at the movies.  What a funny movie…can’t believe what they can show in an R rated movie these days.  I sound so old!  Laughed so hard the entire movie.  Hangover will be one of those cult classics like Porky’s and Bachelor Party.

Have a 25th wedding anniversary party today at noon.  Will see all of the family, haven’t seen most of them since the beginning of April.

Leave for Fort Lauderdale, Tuesday morning.  Looking forward to some sun and pool time.

Had a great time in Dallas.  Went to two wedding showers, walked every morning with Tina and the kids, went swimming, shopping and ate, ate and ate.

Great to see Eric’s family.  Usually only see them at Thanksgiving so it was a nice treat.  Met Lannette’s future husband and in-laws.  Her future mother-in-law is a teacher from Michigan and an avid picture taker.

Enjoyed spending time with Sabrina and Sam.  Sam started swimming underwater and can go about 12 feet before he has to come up for another breath.  Sabrina is turning into a teenager at age 9, growing up so fast.

We went to a cafe that was featured on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives.  Had our picture taken in front of Guy’s poster.  It was good.  I had a thin crust pizza with tomato and spinach.  The bread pudding was to die for!

Back home for 6 days and then head out to Boston.
